Psychology, yesterday, today, tomorrow
From Antiquity to the 19th and 20th centuries, nascent psychology has always accompanied its time or reacted to it, both in terms of socio-political and religious aspects as well as philosophical and scientific. In the coming decades, humanity will face three key challenges : 1/ terrorism and new wars around the world, 2/ environmental and climate threats (including consecutive migrations), and 3/ the rise and influence (or control) of Artificial Intelligence (AI). At the heart of each of these three questions is the human factor. The conclusion is therefore immediate: we need precise and effective human science to take stock of it and act appropriately. Today, it is offered to us on a platter. Now, reinforced by the advances in neurosciences, scientific psychology has all the assets to help us meet these challenges.
