Objective: The aim of this research was to study the intellectual profile of ADHD children with the new version of the Wechsler intelligence scale.Method: 30 ADHD children and 29 typically developing children, aged between 8 and 12 years, were assessed with the 10 main subtests of the WISC-V and with attentional, executive and learning tests. Results: ADHD children performed worse on the Working Memory (t(57) = 4.522, p < .001, d = 1.178) and Processing Speed (t(57) = 4.321, p < .001, d = 1.125) indices. The Cognitive Skills index is therefore lower in ADHD children (t(57) = 4.377, p < .001, d = 1.140). We also found correlations between the Cognitive Skills and attentional, executive and learning performances. Inhibition deficits seem to impact performances observed on the intelligence scale. Conclusion: In general, the WISC-V is a good tool for assessing the cognitive profile of ADHD children.
